My Neighbor Week 2

What if your address is more than just where you live? When God's people found themselves in exile in Babylon, a place they never wanted to be, God called them to build homes, plant gardens, raise families, and seek the good of their city. They were called not simply to live there, but to make a difference there.


In week two of My Neighbor, Pastor Nate reminds us that loving our neighbors doesn't always require going somewhere new. Sometimes it begins right across the street. Through Jeremiah 29, we'll discover what it means to seek the peace, well-being, and flourishing of the places we call home. God didn't accidentally put you where you are. Your street is more than your address; it's part of your mission field.

September 27th Weekend Preview
Church Family, This Sunday we continued our Love Above All series with EVERYWHERE and the reminder that the church gathers here, but the church lives everywhere. Jacob woke up in Genesis 28 and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” God is already at work in the places we go every day: our homes, schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, ballfields, restaurants, and everywhere in between. So this week, don’t just go somewhere. Go there on mission. Look for where God is already working and show the love of Jesus to everyone, everywhere, every day. I also want to give you an update from our congregational vote. We cast 120 ballots: 112 yes, 6 no, and 2 blank. Thank you to every member who participated, prayed, asked questions, and voted. With the congregation’s approval, we will now move forward with securing the necessary funding and begin replacing our church roof. I’m grateful for a church that continues to invest in the ministry God has entrusted to us, not simply to maintain a building. Still, so this building can remain a place where people gather, grow, worship, and are sent everywhere. Love Above All, Pastor Nate Sunday September 27th We’ll be hosting Family Sunday (Everyone Ages 5+ will be in the Sanctuary, Early Childhood Ministry will still be meeting) We’ll be led in worship by our NazStudents Band We’ll participate in Communion together We encourage you to participate in our Alabaster Offering. For Good Update: Church Vote This Weekend
Sunday, we began our Love Above All series with a simple but powerful reminder from 1 Peter 4:8 “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” From Adam and Eve trying to cover themselves with fig leaves to Jesus being stripped at the cross, we're reminded that Scripture tells the story of a God who meets us in our sin and shame and covers us with grace. We tried to cover ourselves with fig leaves. God covered us with Christ. Because His grace has covered us, we are called to extend that same grace to others. As we continue to show the love of Jesus to everyone, everywhere, every day, I want to remind our members about the important membership vote before us regarding the proposed borrowing of up to $550,000 for our needed roof replacement and sanctuary lighting and video upgrades. This is an important decision in our church's life, and I ask each of us to prayerfully consider it. This is more than a financial decision. It is a stewardship decision about caring for the place God has entrusted to us and preparing it to continue serving people and ministry in the years ahead. Please pray for wisdom, unity, and clarity as we make this decision together. And as we go through this week, remember: Everyone. Everywhere. Every Day. Whoever God puts in front of you, wherever God sends you, may we choose to Love Above All. See you Sunday! Pastor Nate

Sunday Morning, August 23rd Sunday School Groups @ 9:30 AM Family Sunday Worship Service @ 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary. All ages from Kindergarten up will worship together in this service together.(Early Childhood Ministries will be available.) We will be receiving communion and offering baptisms in this service. Thursday, June 25th Fireworks Fundraiser - Visit Fireworks Central to learn how to support our teens as they raise funds for key spiritual formation trips like camp, NYC, Fall Retreat, and more. Sunday, June 28th NazKids VBS Finale is this Sunday. We’ll still check in at 9:30 AM for our final VBS activities before our celebration service in the sanctuary at 10:30 AM. We’ll sing VBS songs and our NazKids Pastoral team will lead our message that morning. Sunday School Groups meet at 9:30 AM and Worship Service is at 10:30 AM. Click here for help finding a group if you haven’t joined one already. Freedom Celebration is Sunday, June 28th at Salyer Lake Camp. The gate opens at 3:00 PM and we’ll enjoy a fireworks show after dark. There will be waterfront activities all afternoon and food will be available for purchase at the camp or you can pack your own.
