Dear Mustang Naz,
These are unprecedented days. Yet scripture reminds us, “Be strong and take courage, do not fear or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9. The Church Board and our Pastoral Staff have prayerfully decided that we will adhere to the Presidential recommendation and suspend all campus activities at Mustang Church of the Nazarene, until April 6, 2020. Our decision was not an easy decision, but one that was made with guidance from Medical Professionals, our District Superintendent, and Global Ministries Director for the Church of the Nazarene, who encouraged us in an abundance of caution to close our campus.
We will be worshipping live online at 10:30 am each Sunday at mustangnaz.org/videos or on our Facebook page at facebook.com/mustangnaz. There will also be online content coming to you for children, students, and adults. We are looking for creative ways to still be the Church during the sequestration and time of quarantine.
The most important thing we can do is pray! Set your alarm for 7am, Noon, and 7pm to pray. One way we can be the Church is to take the church directory and make a few phone calls every day to check on one another. Also, we have several volunteers who have said that they can make grocery runs, prescription pick-ups, and other services. Please let our office staff know your need. Another opportunity is to be the Acts 2 church. We can pray together and meet in each other’s homes (under ten people) and include our next-door neighbors. Our current situation can be one of the best ways for the Church to share the love of Christ in a world that needs hope!
There are also several online platforms that you can use to connect:
www.youversion.com/the-bible-app You can connect with friends and study scripture together.
zoom.us This is a free online meeting that you can host for up to 100 people for 40 minutes.
hangouts.google.com This is a free app through google that allows you to meet with up to 10 people.
We realize times are difficult, but we also have the ongoing expenses. We rely on your generous giving to meet the needs of our church. Sometimes when we are unable to attend, we forget. We will not stop doing all that we can under these unusual circumstances to minister to one another and serve our community, even if restricted in our in-person contact.
You may send your tithe/offering through the mail to:

Or, you may take advantage of our online giving. mustangnaz.org/give
The leaders at MCN are looking at this opportunity to be the Church and be the most creative and innovative we have been. We are asking the Lord to help us to be His hands and feet during these tough days so that everyone might Love God, Welcome Everyone, and Be Transformed to be like Jesus.
